During the process of making this painting, The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde kept coming to my mind. I didn't go into it with that inspiration initially, but the more I worked on it, the more I kept thinking about that story. The intensity and beauty of the character Dorian, as well as my love for the book, I think imbued itself into the painting.
